Happy Halloween!

This year was a fun Halloween! First I went to school, and I got to wear my new costume. Can you tell what I was?



A hedgehog! Mommy loves hedgies.




At school we went trick-or-treating over at the EPA. We also had a party in our class.




Our school did a pumpkin decorating contest, which our class won! We did a 'recycling' theme, which is appropriate!




Then we went home and got ready to go trick-or-treating!




At the first house, I didn't really know what to make of things.



We went and picked up my friend Alex and went around the neighborhood together.




We got the hang of it eventually, and went to the houses with our candy bags saying "Twick-o-weeeee"



At one house, they had a little dog that I wanted to pet, so I just walked right on inside. Mommy thought that was pretty funny.
Then we went back to Alex's house, where Daddy and Alex's daddy had been handing out candy.




We got to eat some of our candy. Yum!

Yesterday Mommy and I went over to my friend J's house to play.

She has an impeccable sense of style.



She has a pretty neat-o kitchen in her playroom, so we did some cooking.




I sat in her swing.



She had a lot of books to read.



Since her Daddy is a doctor, she has a stethoscope.



When it was time for me to leave, J gave me a big hug.

Hi Jazzie!

I love animals. I love to chase my doggie around and say "Doggie! Come here!". Sometimes I get frustrated that the doggie won't do what I ask him to do, and I have to ask Mommy or Daddy to help me. I say "I pet! I pet!" and then Mommy or Daddy get the doggie to sit down so I can pet him.

I really love to pet the cats, but they rarely sit still long enough for me to do it. Sometimes though, my cat Jasmine will sit still and let me pet her. You can click on these images to see the full size (they get cut off a little bit by my blog template).

Another thing I like to do lately is sing. Here I am singing Twinkle, twinkle, little star.

First ever haircut!

I'm going to be two in a few months. Can you believe that I've never had a haircut? My hair grows slowly. And it is curly, so even the parts that are too long didn't seem too long because they curled up.

Well, we are having our school pictures soon and Mommy decided it was time to get my first haircut.

So we went to Peek-a-do, which is a place where they cut kids' hair. I got to sit in a chair that was shaped like an airplane.



That sounds cool I know, but actually the coolest part is that there was a TV on the counter in front of me. So while the lady cut my hair, I got to watch TV. And watch TV I did.



Once I got settled in the airplane chair (that took some coaxing), I was totally fixated on the TV. That lady could have been doing ANYTHING and I would not have even noticed.




Here I am afterwards. See, not too short.




They also had a mini toy store in Peek-A-Do, so while Mommy did boring stuff like pay for my haircut ($26! holy crap!) I got to play with a cool top.



Then we ran across the street to Nordstroms to buy me a new pair of shoes. I know, it sounds fancy to go shoe shopping at Nordstroms, but they cost the same as at the Stride Rite store and the people were nicer. They had a place where I could color (still my favorite hobby), so everyone was happy.
